Storytelling
How to use stories to make what you want to say more impactful and more persuasive
Storytelling predates Powerpoint by 100,000 years – it’s how our brains are hardwired to receive, retain and pass on information. And, although a lot is said about the power of stories to persuade, it’s often seen as the preserve of the creative industries – an artform for writers and directors.
In this course we explore simple, practical ways to weave stories into your work and the confidence to use them in a range of situations. Think re-ordered and enriched presentations and emails, NOT film scripts and novels.

Core Elements
The brain science behind storytelling (and why you are 22 times more likely to
remember a fact embedded in a story than the fact on its own).
What makes up a great story (learning from both scientists and artists how to combine narrative arc, character and conflict).
Practice how to create persuasive stories in everyday interactions, authentic to you.
